Vale of Clwyd Cubs held an open day in the Prestatyn Parish Church vicarage garden on Saturday 19th June.
The weather was favourable but the crowds stayed away in their droves. Cubs from 3rd and 6th Prestatyn and 1st Rhyl attended and enjoyed the BBQ and activities.
They helped to erect the tents and set up the garden activites for the day. They were able to have a go at making miniature knotting boards and use their mini-pioneering skills to make ballistas and use them. We did get some visitors who were most welcome and enjoyed the activities. Today’s guest of honour had to be Callum from Hawarden Cubs who brought his Nain and Taid and had a go at everything.
Thanks to Reverend Kate for allowing us to use the garden and the members of the parish who catered so well.
Thanks too, to the Cubs who came along and made the event worth doing.
Next year it’s going to be bigger and better!
