1st Rhyl hosted the mini pioneering competition where teams of Cubs built double-barreled ballistas using bamboo canes, elastic bands and paper cups. Once built, they had to demonstrate their skills by using them to fire balls into buckets.
Tonight’s competition was won by 1st Rhuddlan’s A Team. Face, B.A., Hannibal and the other weren’t there but they weren’t needed.
Our team came 3rd. Great effort Cubs.
Thanks to Siân for helping to mark the ballista build quality. Points were also won by the Cubs shooting ballista balls into buckets. 1st Rhuddlan’s team received highest marks for build and managed to keep the lead with good marksmanship too. Well done.
