On Saturday 26th September 2009, members of the Group took part in a beach litter pick as part of the Tidy Wales Week.
Gareth Jones from Keep Wales Tidy provided the necessary equipment and advice before we started.
Luckily the sun shone and the tide wasn’t too far out. As well as Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, lots of Mums, Dads, brothers and sisters turned out to help.
We started at the Nova and went along the promenade towards Y Ffrith (didn’t go quite that far) and came back on the beach. The breeze made the bin sacks difficult to manage at first and I ended up back-tracking to collect the litter that had escaped from mine!
Thanks to all who turned out to support the activity.
